I make tableware and one-off pieces in porcelain and stoneware. My work is inspired by decorative traditions in ceramics, architecture and textiles from around the world. I find early relief printmaking specially appealing, and the sgraffito technique I use has parallels with woodblock and lino printing. My imagery is drawn from observation of nature, an early interest reinforced during lockdowns.
