Birgit Pohl makes wheel-thrown pots in porcelain which after the first firing becomes the perfect canvas for her loosely drawn decoration. Her work explores the balance between precision of form and fluidity in surface decoration. She aims to create pieces that are pleasing to hold and invite speculation about the stories behind the designs.
