Each location based, capsule collection consists of both functional and decorative pieces linked by natural materials, sustainably sourced dye plants and a connection to place.

Birichen Cushions :
Simple warm shades of merino wool inspired by long winter walks along Scottish shorelines. Each Birichen Cushion in Stone has been carefully designed with a gradient colour pattern which gradually blends light into dark. The complex woven design creates a repeat pattern visible from a distance which becomes more detailed and delicate the closer that it is viewed.

Trade Winds Cowl :
Handwoven in the Arra Textiles Studio using a beautifully soft blended yarn of cotton and merino wool, each cowl is unique. A woven double cloth structure allows the Trade Winds Cowl to be reversable and to blend colour shades into complex organic patterns. Inspired by walks along the rocky shoreline in shades of ochre, topaz and lichen.

The scarves have a subtle texture created with complex handwoven structures echoing the waves of the North Sea.

Designs from the Ur Lofti Collection :
Developed and woven in Iceland during my summer residency at the Textile Centre, each artwork is a hand woven snapshot of the landscape. Hand spun Icelandic wool weft yarns create a feeling of movement and texture, while the intricate woven structures create a variety of scenes from coastal causeways to lichen covered rocks. Part of my Icelandic journey, this unique, site specific capsule collection, combines technology, heritage craft skills and a connection to place. Each design will be hung individually.

Oceanic 1.2 Artwork :
With a contemporary twist on an age old process, I blend ancient tapestry techniques with contemporary woven design. This piece was inspired by the beaches of Orkney and has been woven in locally sourced fleece which was spun the dyed in the studio using locally foraged plants.
